Pep Marchegiani: Fashion as you' ve never seen it before

Una mostra di mostri.

Cadaveri della moda sezionati e ritratti, messaggi dissacranti e politicamente scorretti proposti dall' artista Pep Marchegiani, in un' esposizione visibile alla Biblioteca della Moda di Milano fino al 20 gennaio.

Ieri sera, Domenica 13 Gennaio, si è tenuto il vernissage della mostra, evento sponsorizzato da Guru, segnando l' occasione del rilancio del brand e del rientro all' operatività di Matteo Cambi.

Re Giorgio ti accoglie con un dito nel naso, Anna Wintour imbraccia - stavolta letteralmente- un fucile, Karl Lagerfeld sembra in posa in un sarcofago e il famoso N° 5 è brandizzato Coca Chanel.

Non esiste censura per Pep Marchegiani che, come una sorta di Lucifero moderno, massacra e abbatte il mondo del fuckshion 

-oops fashion- direttamente dall' interno, presentandone i protagonisti senza il glamour con cui siamo abituati a vederli, ma esaltandone invece tic e difetti.

In una società dove chi sei conta di più di quello che hai da dire, le opere di Pep si prestano perfettamente a simbolo di rivoluzione, facendosi portavoce di messaggi scomodi ma terribilmente condivisibili.

A freak show.

Fashion corpses, dissected and pictured as they really are, irreverent and politically incorrect messages offered by the Italian artist Pep Marchegiani, on view at the Milan Fashion Library by January 20th.

Last Sunday night, Jan 13th, there was the vernissage of the exhibition, sponsored by Guru, relaunching the brand and Matteo Cambi' s return to operation.

You' re welcomed by King Giorgio , picking his nose, Anna Wintour is bringing up her shotgun - literally I mean- Karl Lagerfeld looks to be laid in a sarcophagus and the famous N°5 is named  Coca Chanel.

There is no censure for Pep Marchegiani who, like a modern Lucifer, destroys and deposes the fuckshion -oops fashion- industry, directly from the inside, giving portraits of the protagonists without their glamour glaze we' re so used to, but actually enhancing their flaws and tics.

In a society where who you are counts more than what you have to say, Pep' s works of Art represent the perfect symbols of revolution, becoming mouthpiece of uncomfortable but dramatically understandable messages.
